In October 2013 at the age of 4 Jenson was diagnosed with Lymphoma which saw him battle the disease enduring 3 years of treatment including chemotherapy. Just 6 weeks after treatment ended in October 2016 and at the age of 7 cancer had returned in the form of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia which is an adult blood cancer rarely found in children. His chance of cure is not as high as last time and without a stem cell transplant his chance of survival is slim. As we have now been told he will have a transplant in January, we have found ourselves not knowing if we will need additional funds for medical reasons as the side effects from a stem cell transplant and the chemotherapy he is enduring can be severe.
All we want is Jenson to have a normal childhood. Not one filled with hospitals, tests and chemotherapy.
We are looking to raise funds to help him achieve this whilst also building a pot of money should we need to use for medical reasons. When the money is no longer required for Jenson we will donate to the various charities who have supported us over the last 3 years and beyond.
