Jennifer Siebenthaler's Surgical Needs

Most of you probably do not know that Jen suffers with Trigeminal Neuralgia. Jen is a fighter and always putting others first so you have probably never heard her complain of the pain she suffers daily. TN is a chronic pain condition that affects the trigeminal nerve, which carries sensation from your face to your brain. If you have trigeminal neuralgia, even mild stimulation of your face "” such as from brushing your teeth or putting on makeup "” may trigger a jolt of excruciating pain. You may initially experience short, mild attacks, but trigeminal neuralgia can progress, causing longer, more frequent bouts of searing pain. Unfortunately, Jen's TN has progressed and at this point the ONLY REMEDY is sugery, Microvascular Decompression. Microvascular Decompression is a surgical procedure to relieve the symptoms (pain, muscle twitching) caused by compression of a nerve by an artery or vein. It provides the longest duration of relief from trigeminal neuralgia pain, and the lowest rate of permanent numbness of the face after surgery.
Jen has the opportunity to have the surgery June 23, 2014, but with medical costs and recovery time, she needs OUR HELP to make this happen for her!! Our goal is $7500 to cover her $5000 insurance deductible and maybe a little extra to cover her living costs as the recovery time is 6 weeks, time that she will not be being compensated for.
