Dear friends,
I have a unique opportunity to spend two weeks visiting a home for sex-trafficking victims in Bangkok, Thailand. The organization is called Home of New Beginnings, and they exist to provide holistic care to women leaving a life of sexual exploitation in the red light districts of Bangkok.
As many of you know, this is an issue that I have been passionate about for many years. As I continue to learn how God might connect my vocation and life to the work of justice and restoration around the world, I desire to spend time learning from organizations like New Beginnings.
During my short time there, in addition to building relationships with the staff and girls at the home, I will: help the director of the home in preparing counseling curriculum for the girls; provide English tutoring; accompany girls from the home as they visit the red light districts where they worked to build relationships with the girls working there now; and visit the site of a second home that will open two hours outside of Bangkok.
I humbly ask that you consider partnering with me financially in this unique opportunity to learn and serve. I cannot do this without you, and frankly would not want to do this without you. The dates of my trip will be June 15-29, and the total I need to raise is $3,000. This will cover the costs of airfare, transportation in Thailand, food, and living costs at the home.
Please also pray for me - for courage and safety, for a humble mind and heart, and for the work of justice and restoration in Thailand.
