Jenny's fight against breast cancer

Donation protected
As many of you know or may not know, my sister Jenny was diagnosed with breast cancer on November 21st.  Although our mother unfortunately passed away from breast cancer at a young age and it’s a disease that runs in the family, this still comes as a shock given that Jenny eats very healthy, was working out consistently, and is obviously very young.

In 2015 around this time, she was having symptoms that indicated that she may have had MS.  MS is not a disease that is diagnosed in the same short timeframe as breast cancer is.  She is not diagnosed with this, but the doc is highly suspicious of it.  It takes multiple MRIs and unfortunately, living with those symptoms for a while until a diagnosis can be confirmed through additional MRIs.   Fast forward to the past few weeks. In addition to dealing with the breast cancer diagnoses, Jenny’s symptoms of MS returned and intensified and she therefore obtained more MRIs.  Recently, an MRI revealed that she has a herniated disc in her neck that will need to be monitored and that there are some new, small lesions in her brain that are new from the last 2015 MRI.  She will need to monitor this and potentially later have spinal surgery, pending the breast surgery.  She is working with an MS specialist to confirm if the lesions do indicate MS or if the herniated disc pressing on her spinal cord is what is causing these symptoms.  All of this is important to address, but as she is stable in these areas, they will have to take a back seat to first eliminating the cancer.

We all know how much of a fighter Jenny is.  After all, Rocky is her hero!  There is no doubt that she will get through all of this, but it will be a long road to recovery as well as financial recovery.  She is grateful to have good insurance through her employer but even so, will have a lot of her own financial responsibility.  Especially with the cut in pay she will have to take due to her absence at work when she does have her surgery.  Any amount you can donate would help her tremendously with all of her out of pocket expenses and anything she might need to get through this ordeal.

Jenny truly appreciates all the love she has received so far.  Please feel free to reach out to her sister, Grace with any questions, for updates, or ideas on other ways you may want to support Jenny.

 Much love from Jenny!
