Jenny needs Brain Tumour Treatment

In September 2021, on her very first day of her dream job as a Maths Teacher at a Kent secondary school, 28 year-old Jenny Yeats-Brown was diagnosed with GBM 4, the rarest and most aggressive form of brain cancer there is.

GBM 4 is otherwise known as Glioblastoma and has been recently brought to public attention in the documentary ‘Inside My Head’ by The Wanted’s Tom Parker, who has sadly just died from the disease.

With an average lifespan after diagnosis of 12-15 months, there is presently no cure. However, there is an immunotherapy treatment available in Germany that could extend Jenny’s life for approximately 8 more years. It is for this reason that we want to do everything we can to raise the £50,000 needed for this treatment.

Jenny is the daughter of the wonderful Mr & Mrs Yeats-Brown, both currently senior teachers at The New Beacon School in Sevenoaks, Kent, following long careers teaching thousands of pupils at a variety of schools across the county. Their family of 6 is a very close one; four of them are teachers and Jenny’s sister has represented her country as a World Championship and Commonwealth Games Silver and Bronze medallist in Judo. They have all committed their lives to their community and we believe that the least the community can do is raise the money necessary to help Jenny live for years, in which time a treatment and even a cure may have hopefully been found.

As teachers, this amazing, giving, family are simply not in the financial position to pay for Jenny’s treatment and are currently struggling to even cover her mortgage and living expenses as she is unable to work.
