Jenny Lenzini Obituary

Jenny Lenzini passed away tragically on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at the age of 26. Jennifer grew up in Crystal Lake, Illinois, graduating from Prairie Ridge High School in 2012. She went on to pursue a Broadcast Journalism degree from the University of Illinois (U of I). During college, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and Chi Omega sorority sisters, waitressing at Joe's Bar, and taking family trips to Lake Geneva. Jenny's professors were confident that her dazzling smile, bright blue eyes, and "it" factor would lead to a successful career as a news anchor and reporter. To honor Jenny's legacy,  a scholarship is being established for future students at the University of Illinois (College of Media - Broadcast Journalism) to fund their passions for years to come.

After graduating from U of I in 2016, she accepter her first job in Sioux City, Iowa, working for KTIV as a news reporter, anchor, and producer. Jenny's family often gathered around the TV in the evening to watch her report on snow storms and floods, interview politicians, and giggle with her colleagues. Her contagious laughter and smile lit up the newsroom and the lives of everyone who knew her. In the summer of 2020, Jenny advanced her journalism career by relocating to Fort Myers, Florida to work as a reporter with NBC2.

Although Jenny's career was certainly one to brag about, her proudest moment came when she became an Aunt in August of 2020, just months before her passing. Jenny was one of 6 children, lovingly calling themselves "The Brady Bunch." Her friends and family constantly refer to Jenny as a light - not only lighting up a room, but lighting up the lives of everyone in her presence . She was known for finding the positive in all situations, saying "Yes!" to new adventures, and making everyone laugh with her bad dance moves.

Jenny had a loving, kind, and selfless heart. She never held a grudge and was quick to say, "Love you more!"

100% of the funds raised will be awarded to students who possess a similar passion, light, and joy of storytelling. Jenny's light and kindness will continue to live on through her family, friends, and every life that she touched.

Thank you for your contribution.

Lovingly,
The Brady Bunch
