Jenny Ingram's Stage 4 Breast Cancer Support Fund

Donation protected
We recently found out that Jenny's cancer has returned and while we are currently awaiting more answers on what it is and what her long term treatment will be, we do know that it is stage four and has spread to her lungs, ribs and spine.  While this news is overwhelming and scary, our whole family knows that Jenny has the strength and courage to fight this and live for a long time.  But we want to make her as comfortable and stress-free as possible while she battles this and so we (her little sisters Jessi and Emily) have decided to set up this go fund me to support her during her treatment.  Money is the last thing that she needs to worry about, particularly as she is navigating second opinions, out of network options, and large deductibles for the foreseeable future.

For those of you who don't know Jenny's story, in 2015 at the age of 35, she found a lump in her breast and quickly learned that she had stage 2 breast cancer.  She underwent intense chemotherapy and ultimately a double mastectomy and in March celebrated being "five years cancer free."

From the moment Jenny was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, she made it her mission to help others who were also facing this disease.  While she was enduring her treatments after her initial diagnosis, she asked that any fundraisers held to support her be donated to Operation Be A Little Daring (BALD), a group of teachers pledging to shave their heads to support others fighting cancer, in exchange for money donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. After she won her battle, she did more fundraising and cancer awareness events to support others. In 2017 and 2018, Jenny launched "The Breast Dance Party Ever" which raised over $25,000 to benefit Gateway to Hope, a local organization that secures comprehensive care and provides financial assistance for individuals in need who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.  Every step of her recovery, she thought about giving back to others.  When she got the initial phone call about her cancer recurrence this month,  she was actually on her way to drop off dinner for a friend who is currently battling cancer.

Jenny has been so generous and compassionate to others fighting this fight, and we want to help return the favor.  This money will allow her to have some additional financial security (we all know teachers should get paid way more, especially high school English teachers).  We want to help her get the best treatment and extra measures that will help her stay comfortable.  We are looking into all options for a healthy and stress-free lifestyle, including delivery meal, cleaning and lawn services (anything to make her life easier).  Thank you for your support of our Jenny!
