Mom Jenny is...
A daughter, our mother, a grandma, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, family and friend to many. She has a tremendously big heart and wide open arms. She's been through a lot in her life. She is strong and brave and has come out of it all even stronger with her courage and faith. She's a fighter for life because she has a wonderful family that cares so much for her. Just read her book "Her place was with God" and you will hear all about it.

Throughout mom's life she has had many medical problems: A rare blood disease ( Hemoledic Non-Sepheric Hereditary Anemia ), No spleen, Hep C, Retinitis Pigmentosa, COPD, Diabetes, Ect... Due to her being a survivor of domestic violence is where this all began. Her bones in her neck were damaged; so 2 years ago they went in and replaced them with metal cages & plates. The anterior plate rubbed a hole in her esophagus, which then in tale lead to a massive infection in the front cavity.

Through all of this her care has been at Enloe Hospital in Chico, CA. She's been through SIX surgeries in the last 8 weeks. Family and friends right by her side. Unfortunately, Enloe has not been successful at clearing mom of the infection thoroughly and they have exasperated all of their options. This now opens up doors for the specialist at Stanford Medical as well as UC San Francisco Medical Center. They have the resources, experience and more hands on deck to hopefully get mom through this completion of her esophagus and neck surgeries so that she can start healing.

Even with her being moved to the bay area the family would like to continue to stay by her side. Her medical expenses are paid through insurance. The money donated will help with hotels, food, and gas for the family to travel back and forth. Anything is appreciated and no amount is too small. Hopefully within a few weeks she'll be home.
