Help us surprise a family in need!

Help me make this holiday special for a family in need! We are putting together presents for a family of four that I learned of through a recently newspaper spotlight on poverty in the city of Toronto. These are recently immigrants to Canada, educated and willing to work, but struggling to make ends of meet in their new life in Toronto. They are looking for help to get better jobs and housing and not handouts ... but let’s surprise them and their kids a special holiday (it’s a surprise for them)!

All funds will be provided directly to the recipient family and will go toward transportation and housing costs. I will cover the 5 percent deduction from GoFund me and match the first $500 donated. We will also direct 10 percent to a poverty or community organization supporting the family.

Some people have offered to purchase and donate new toys for the kids- that would be amazing as well! Email me and I will get them and wrap them.
