Jennifer's Invasive Surgery

My sister Jennifer is an amazing woman. She’s struggled for most of her life and fought to get herself to where she is now, a practicing hospice nurse, caring for those in need at the end of their life. She performs her role with great love and compassion.

She’s a strength and support in our family, most recently when our mother had a series of mini-strokes. Jennifer was there to talk to the doctors, discuss treatment plans and help us all feel like we could do this together. And now Jennifer needs my help, our help.

After suffering severe stomach pains, and missing many days of work, the doctors informed her that she has a large tumor in her abdomen. We are told that it is likely not cancer, but nothing can be confirmed until they remove the tumor and test it.

During these visits the doctors also discovered that Jennifer’s uterus is four times its regular size and due to a growth needs to be removed. My sister is ALSO LOSING HER UTERUS.

These procedures are going be performed at the same time and both are HIGHLY invasive. Doctors are taking all precautions as both the tumor and uterus have a risk of bursting which could spread cancer and/or lead to bleeding out and death.

All this is scary and terrifying and I would love to let my sister just focus on her recovery. Leading up to this she has used all she can to pay for bills and keep going but she needs some help.

I am asking to raise $3K to help cover rent, bills and medical costs until her insurance kicks in. I want my sister to focus on her recovery and not worry about how to pay the bills.
