In June of 2024, she went on vacation after graduating mortuary school that prior November, but she never made it to the beach. That weekend, she fell and contracted necrotizing fasciitis unknowingly. Her body began to shut down and go septic. The hospital, doctors, and nurses fought alongside her and saved her life and her leg.
