JENNIFERS MEDICAL DENTAL PROCEDURE

Hi, I am Jennifer's boss at Kids Party Planet and we wanted to start this page because Jennifer has battled dental issues since she was a baby. She has had multiple surgeries and procedures to try to correct her condition. Jennifer is diagnosised with Dentinogenesis Imperfecta and has loss many teeth, because of spontaneous periapical abscessess. Jennifer recently had an operation where they harvested some bone from her hip to bring bone volume back to her jaw to try to improve her jaw line for implants or dentures in the future. Dentinogenesis imperfecta (DI) is a rare genetic disorder that affects the dentin of your teeth. Jennifer recently received some news from her Specialist that she will be needing another operation to improve her jawline again and laying a foundation for implants or dentures.

This procedure is necessary and not covered by her insurance. Her out of pocket cost is $14,000. Insurance catagorizies this procedure as cosmetic and doesn't cover. Insurance claims its cosmetic because of the implants. Jennifer's Suregeon has submitted letters to the insurance claiming that in Jennifer's case this is not cosmetic but necessary to keep the teeth she still has. Procedure has to be done by the 28th of January because of insurance policies.

A little about Jennifer and why we felt led to try to help her. Jennifer started working for us almost 2yrs ago. She is a great employee. She goes above and beyond to help customers and coworkers. Jennifer attends Brazosport College and holds down 3 Jobs!! Jennifer also works at Honroe's in Angleton, Angleton Rec Center, Kids Party Planet and Babysits. Even with this challenge Jennifer remains Humble. Always in good spirits and a positive attitude.
