Jen's medical work in Tanzania!

Hey! :) I'm Jen and I am a third year Nursing student studying at the UEA. I am off to Tanzania this Winter to work in Operating theatres and on HIV/ AIDS programmes in Dar es Salaam and I need your help!
Throughout the duration of my nursing course, I have been determined to carry out my Nursing elective in Tanzania. I want to make a difference, I want to help people less fortunate than me. I want to change lives! We are so lucky and blessed to be born in a country with a free health care system and running water which comes straight from the tap. I want to experience what it is like for people who aren't this fortunate, who have been subjected to intolerable things and poverty which we can not comprehend.
I don't speak swahili, I can't cure HIV and I don't have enough money to transform a hospital. All I can do is do my bit and try, lay my hands bare and help to the best of my abilities and though this may not transform the whole of Africa, I will give changing one person's life a damn good go.
SO, I am asking you for your help to travel on this journey with me. I am asking for your help with raising money for the things that I am not receiving- donations to the hospital, medical supplies, staff pay and mentorship. The staff at the hospital also receive extra education including English lessons to be able to liaise with students going over to Tanzania.
What have I done to date? Well... I have had a man auction, grew the whole entire of my body fair for three and a half months (yes, you did read that correctly), a coffee morning and tea party to follow shortly!
Please help me to make a difference! Whether you give £2 or £20 it all helps and will go such a long way.
