Help for Axton's Mom Jennifer

Donation protected
I have known Jennifer for twenty years. She is an extraordinarily kind human being. Jennifer is a loving mother to her adorable son Axton. Axton has a huge heart like his mom.  When Axton asked his mom if they would be able to FaceTime when she goes to heaven, they both cried and Jennifer knew it was time to ask for help and fight for her life.

In March of  2017, when Axton was 4 years old, Jennifer started to experience a barrage of symptoms including  burning, numbness, pins and needles in her face and brain, rashes that would appear then disappear, vertigo,  balance issues, difficulty catching her breath (air hunger), visual disturbances,  very loud ringing in her ears, heart palpitations, severe panic attacks, and feeling like she was going to faint. These symptoms came out of nowhere and landed Jennifer in the ER numerous times. It was a very scary and stressful time for Jennifer, her husband Ante, and Axton.

After a series of doctor appointments and numerous tests, Jennifer's doctor tested her for Lyme disease (Borreliosis). In April  of 2017, not only did she test positive for late stage neurological Lyme disease, but also for coinfections Babesia, Mycoplasma, high levels of heavy metals, and dangerous levels of black mold.

January 27, 2018 Jennifer's  new lab results confirmed she has 2 forms of Lyme Disease, (B. Burgdorferi Osp C-NPS, Borrelia- recurrentis-NP), Babesia, Bartenella, Mycoplasma, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and Ehrilichia Chaffeenis a cousin of Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. The tests revealed she still has high levels of heavy metals and dangerous levels of black mold. She is currently waiting for more lab results. Also, a recent live blood analysis revealed that the coinfection Mycoplasma  is attacking her red blood cells and the Ehrilichia is attacking her white blood cells, which is causing her body not to receive enough oxygen.

Lyme disease has taken a huge toll on the whole family-Mom, Dad and Axton. Unfortunately Lyme disease treatments  are extremely expensive and are not covered by health insurance. Because of the rising costs, Jennifer is unable to continue her weekly treatments, her doctor appointments, and the long term medical care she desperately needs. Sadly Jennifer's immune system is severely compromised due to the lyme disease and coinfections and she has continued to become sicker and weaker. The disease  is in her brain, nervous system, and also effects her heart and breathing. She has also lost 30 lbs since being diagnosed and having a hard time keeping her weight up and is experiencing  muscle wasting. She can no longer work and spends all her days in bed.  Jennifer’s husband Ante works long and irregular hours to support the family and is struggling to pay for Jennifer's very expensive medical bills.

Jennifer and Axton need someone to be with them all the time as they both require care and company. They have relied on having friends and family coming in from out of town to stay with them as well as traveling out of state to stay with family. Jennifer and Axton are currently staying with Jennifer’s aunt and uncle out of state so that they have 24 hour care, while Ante continues to work hard back home. Jennifer's aunt and uncle, have been exceedingly generous with their time and love, enabling Jennifer to rest while enduring this disabling and potentially deadly disease and enabling Axton to play and enjoy life alongside his mom.

Please help me in raising funds for Jennifer's rising medical bills. The goal is to provide enough support so that Jennifer can continue her doctor appointments ($399 an hour for visits or for phone consultations), monthly lab tests, daily and weekly Lyme and coinfection treatments, (4 antibiotics, 10 different monthly compound medications, 2 weekly immune boosting shots, nasal irrigation for black mold, 17 immune boosting supplements/herbs,  nutritional IV's). Her doctor needs to  get her immune system stronger so that her body can fight these  dangerous and deadly tick-borne diseases and she can hopefully get into remission so that the family can be reunited and can continue getting the care that they all need, while at home together.

I’d like to thank Jennifer and Ante for agreeing to make their story public. I know it is not easy for them to ask for help. I hope that the generosity shown to them by all of you will make them feel supported during this stressful time and will show Axton that the world is full of kind-hearted people, just like him.
