Jennell's Cancer Fund

Jennell Wiseman (mom) has had a very tough year. She had foot surgery in February and wasnt able to walk at all for 8 weeks. Just when she recovered from that surgery she found out she had a tumor in her colon and had surgery right away to remove it. July 7th was the day she had her tumor surgery and July 11th was when she was released to go back to work. She had an abcess (which was a blessing in disguise) and a tumor in her colon. They did a CT scan (they were thinking her appendix) and thats how they found the tumor but the abcess was what made her sick and sent her to the doctor. She wasnt able to keep anything down for a couple days. They were able to remove the tumor with clear margins but it had spread to 9 of her lymph nodes and is considered stage 3. Her tumor markers are still high and her last CT scan showed no other tumors but did show that shes having some kidney issues. Shes already had a couple other surgeries. They placed her port in on Monday 8/14/17 and on Wedensday they put a shunt in to drain the fluid off her kidney and she will have a drainage bag until shes done with chemo. She will start chemo August 21st and will do 2 chemo treatments a month for the next 6 months. Once shes healthy they will fix the kidney issue but can't do anything besides the shunt and drainage bag until later (so lots of prayers that her kidney can make it through all of this, we know how important the kidneys are). We have no idea when she can return to work or how the chemo is going to effect her. Shes already been out of work almost this enire year and Dad has taken lots of time off to care for her and take her to doctor appointments and such. She has had tons of hopital visits and expenses and anything will help as her and my dad are going through this difficult time! They will need lots of prayers during this time. Especially since she will be doing all these treatments during the peak season for sickness. Thanks for all your support and prayers already. Hopefully I can update as much as I can!!!
