Global Health Trip to Nicaragua!

Hi!
This January, I will be traveling to Nicaragua with the Harvard Global Medical Brigades. We will be spending 10 days in rural Nicaragua, working with a team of doctors to provide medical care and promote healthy lifestyles to a local community, as well as undertaking a public health project of increasing clean water access. The Global Medical Brigades organization focuses on sustainable development and local community leadership and participation.
Throughout the semester, the Harvard chapter and I have been preparing for this experience through learning about the history and culture of Nicaragua, practicing our medical Spanish skills, learning the skills we will need for triage and how to be an asset to the doctors on-site.
However, this trip is not subsidized by Harvard. Our chapter is fundraising as best we can, but with 63 travelers, it does not go very far! Therefore, any donation would be very much appreciated.
I am going on this trip because I want to learn how another community sees the world, and to join with that community in helping it become healthier.
