Jenn and Ryan's Travel Fund

Hi all.
Many of you invited to this page know either Jenn or Ryan, or if you’re lucky enough, both! Jenn and Ryan experienced a life-changing event in April 2017 and Jenn was diagnosed with brain tumors (see Ryan’s message below from their CaringBridge page). Many of you will know that these two special people are some of the most optimistic, strong, and fun individuals that have blessed this earth. Over the past 12-months, Jenn and Ryan have been dealing with countless procedures, doctor’s visits, stress and emotions that very few of us can comprehend.
Purpose of this page
Ryan and Jenn are very independent people, and financially they have supported themselves thus far. However, we think raising money for a travel fund will be awesome and that is the reason for this page. The admins of this page will use various methods/ideas to raise money and will post them in the discussion board or events page. Please join us and let’s raise some money for these two!

“On Wednesday night (4/26/17) at around 10pm, Jenn had a seizure while at home on the couch. She was taken by ambulance to Huntington Memorial Hospital where she was stabilized. At first it seemed like she would be given the all clear but concern over her CAT scan lead to more tests and an MRI. She was admitted to the neurological ward at about 6am where we spent most of the day awaiting more news. Jan flew out that day to join us there. At about 5pm on Thursday Dr Philip Girard (neurologist) gave us the bad news.
Jenn has two tumors in her brain. The first, larger one, on her left frontal lobe in the speech center. The second is on the top right of her brain in the motor cortex controlling the left side of her body. The neurosurgeon seemed genuinely surprised that Jenn is currently showing no outward effects of the tumors other than her seizure. I think this is a testament to just how strong Jenn really is, although I’m sure that comes as no surprise to all of you.”
