David and Kristi were thrilled to find out that they were pregnant in September 2016. After eleven years together, they were excited to start their family.
At 33 weeks, Kristi's water broke and the birthing plan was altered. After a week of bedrest, baby Jenna was set to be induced May 12th. She arrived on May 13th and she was a perfect 4 lbs 10 oz.
Since she was premature, doctors ran tests and found that she has a heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot. In about four months, baby Jenna will have open heart surgery. Like all parents, Kristi and David planned but they didn't know to plan for this. Jenna is currently staying in the NICU and we are waiting to hear when she can be brought home.
If you can donate to help Kristi and David pay for additional medical bills and expenses during Jenna's care it would be greatly appreciated!
**Update: Jenna has been moved to UF Shands Hospital in Gainesville due to her oxygen levels dropping too low. Doctors are working to determine if she can have surgery to put a shunt in or if she will need the open heart surgery now.
During this time, Kristi and David will be staying in Gainesville to be with their baby girl. Please keep their family in your prayers.
