Jenifer's Care

In November 2017 Jenifer was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer.  She had surgery to keep her alive and she recovered from the surgery, but she started chemo the week after Christmas 2017.  In spring of 2018 the Dr. told us that her cancer is not responding to traditional treatment and she should go to M.D. Anderson to seek further treatment.   She applied to two clinical trials and received medication from one.  That medication did not work.  She the tried a combincation of traditional chemo therapy with a clinical trial medication. That did not work. In January of 2019 the report was worse, the cancer has spread more and no alternative medicine is available.  The Dr. recommended she goes on Hospice care to manage her pain.  She is now needing continuous care by a personal care giver to administer her meds and help her with her personal needs.  Our need for funds are immediate. These fund will help Jenifer have a good quality of life during the next few months.  Needless to say, our family has experienced a lot of changes in the last year and half.  Our home schooled kids are transitioning to regular schools.  Our 4 year old has entered pre-school. Yet in all of these things God has been very near to us in very real ways.  We know that He is with us in the Valley of the shadow of death.  He guides his children and comfort them in the suffering of His son Jesus, showing his great love for us.
