Jenica's Journey to PNB



Hello friends!

I am proud to announce that my sister Jenica has been accepted into Pacific Northwest Ballet's summer intensive! Pacific Northwest Ballet (PNB) is located in Seattle, Washington and is one of the top dance companies in the United States and is respected around the world for its technique and artistry. Jenica truly considers it an honor that she was chosen to train with them for the summer, and is very excited to take her dance career to the next level.

Jenica is currently 11 years old and has been dancing before she could even walk! She carried this enthusiasm for movement into her first dance class with North Coast Dance at just 4 years old. For 7 years and counting, she has continued to work diligently in class and cannot wait to pursue her dream of being a professional dancer. 

Summer intensives are a rite of passage for any dancer looking to progress into the professional dance career track. Jenica sees this intensive as her first step into making her dream a reality.  

She knows however that she can't get there alone. And this is where YOU come in!

To attend a summer intensive is a great honor. It is also a considerable expense! While she is at the intensive, for five straight weeks she'll take all different styles of classes from the best professional dancers and staff at PNB. She'll get to live with dancers from all over the world and have all her meals and housing taken care of by PNB. She'll also get the chance to expand her cultural knowledge with trips into Seattle to explore the arts and culture scene. 

If you can, any donation to helping Jenica achieve her dreams is greatly appreciated. Her housing will cost about $3000, while tuition for classes will cost $2000. We know that Jenica has put in time and effort that is well worth the cost. We hope that if you are lucky enough to know her, you can agree with us that she's earned this!

Jenica would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of the people at North Coast Dance who have helped her to get to this point in her journey! She will never forget all of the teachers who have inspired her to do her best including: Beth Poston, Janet Beckstead and Natalie Landfield. Additionally she would like to thank the staff (past & present) with special thanks Kris Beck and Eliza Klinger who have worked with her to allow her to dance to her heart's content.
