Jenda's Heart Transplant Fundraiser

Jenda's Journey

Two years ago, a virus attacked Jenda's heart and made her very weak. She got a defibrillator and a pacemaker, and that seemed to help for the next two years. About 2 months ago,Jenda got very sick. She had no energy and couldn't breathe at all. Through testing and weeks in the hospital, they discovered that she had a leaking valve and her heart ejection fraction was only 10-15, which is extremely low. Her heart can't pump the blood out, so it pools up in her heart. She is on IV medication, Milrinone, which is pumping the blood out for her. Jenda cannot live on this medication forever, so she needs a new heart. She was approved to get one THIS PAST WEDNESDAY (Praise the Lord), and because of her type and size, she can take just about any heart that is found. The doctors have told her that things will start moving quickly in the next couple of weeks, so she needs to be ready. She needs to have the $5,000 to put in an account through the transplant fund so that she will be guaranteed to have the anti-rejection medications that she will need.

After the transplant, she will have to stay in the Mason House near the hospital for 30 days, and that will cost them $45 a day. Then, on top of all of that, there will be many, many more expenses that are far too many to mention....
When they checked her right heart pressure, the cardiologist told them that Jenda's numbers were NOT sustainable for life. She said, that if THAT doesn't prove that there IS A GOD, then nothing will!!!

I hope that after reading Jenda's amazing story, you will all find it in your hearts to be a part of this Life-Changing Fundraiser. Go ahead and start sharing near and far and be in prayer for our Heavenly Father to MOVE on behalf of Jenda Austin and her amazing family...God bless..

Jenda Austin has been battling Congestive Heart Failure. Recently, her pacemaker defibrillator stopped doing its job and we were informed that she would need a heart transplant. After many test the medical board at Emory hospital located in Atlanta,Ga approved her for the surgery. Our goal is to raise enough funds to support the cost of the anti rejection medication that is not covered by the insurance. Our family feels extremely blessed that Jenda is  getting  the chance to be a recipient of a new heart.
