Jen Kalnicki's breast cancer battle

On Christmas Day, one of my best friends, Jen Kalnicki discovered a lump on her right breast. Within a week she had a mammogram, ultrasound, and a rush biopsy performed. Soon after she was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma - one of the most common and aggressive forms of breast cancer.
While the prognosis is good - as the doctors are optimistic the cancer hasn't traveled to her lymph nodes - Jen still has a challenging road set before her. Treatment will include a double mastectomy with reconstruction and chemotherapy.

Jen needs our help - unfortunately insurance will only cover 80% of the prodecure costs and comes along with a high deductible of $4,000 - not to mention the lost wages due to short-term disability only providing 50% of her income during her time away from work. 

Jen and her husband Mark are incredible people and two amazing friends. As you may imagine - two amazing people would be expected to have amazing children - 10 year old Ava and 4 year old Lili. They'll all be by her side through this difficult journey but this is one of those battles where love often isn't quite enough.
We're hoping to raise enough funds to cover the extensive medical expeses, deductibles, and lost wages to keep a sense of normalcy and support for her family though this challenging time.
