Darius' Future for Jen Collins

If you are reading this, you most likely know Jen Collins. And if you know Jen Collins you know what a wonderful human being she is!
Back in October of 2016, Jen was diagnosed with Stage 3A breast Cancer and had a double mastectomy the following April. Since then she has continued to stage manage, be a great mom and a general “ROCK STAR”!
Just recently the cancer has returned and has spread to several bones, lymph nodes, and liver. She is currently in the hospital in Kansas City (where her parents and sister live) and is fighting the good fight.
Jen’s dad in now the caregiver for Jen’s mom who is not in the best of health. The family will need financial support to get through this. But one of Jen’s greatest concerns is her son’s Darius’ future. Jen does not have life insurance and so we want to help ensure Darius’ future for Jen.
In honor of Jen, the money raised here will bring much needed support to Darius in the years ahead. This fund will be managed by Rolando Linares who will work closely with Darius’ dad Tomi to ensure funds for future support as well as schooling further down the line. Tomi, Jen's husband and Darius's father will use the money to care for Darius once Jen can no longer do so and also put a part away towards a college fund for when that time in Darius's life comes.
Jen has been my best friend since we were roomates in Chicago for over 5 years. We have traveled to Peru, Panama and all over the US together and worked together on many productions at Chicago Shakespeare and The Goodman Theatre. Although she moved to Ohio and I went on the road, we haved stayed close and it's been a joy watching her become a wife and mom and step mom.
This will also give Jen the peace of mind knowing that Darius is taken care of. Then as Jen said – Refuse to Lose; Let’s give her the power to fight the fight.
As Jen would also say, Be Kind and Love Each Other.
