Jen Battles Metastasized TN Breast Cancer

My daughter, Jennifer Kroninger, is a strong, intelligent, beautiful, kind, generous, loving, caring, compassionate & sweet person. She is an amazing person with a heart of gold. She is loved by a lot of people at the Target where she works as a receiver. She is a hard and dedicated worker. Life has thrown her quite a few curve balls, but she always manages to claw her way out of every challenge. One of the curve balls forced her to move back home in order to get her life back together, which she was slowly managing to do.
In May of 2017, Jen discovered a very noticeable lump in her right breast. The doctor sent her for a diagnostic mammogram, which brought about the need for a breast biopsy. The results came back that it was undoubtedly cancer. My daughter at age 41 had breast cancer. We were all in shock for a while. Never in a million years would you ever think that your beautiful daughter would have to go through this, but she does. She then had to go see the breast surgeon who laid out the surgery and treatment. Next, we saw the oncologist who laid everything out. He told us Jen has an aggressive form of cancer called triple negative breast cancer stage 3. He informed us the plan was to be 8 doses of chemo, surgery and then radiation were needed. After getting her port in, she started her chemo in June. Her last dose of chem. will be September 15, 2017. Even though the side effects from the chemo make it difficult for her to work, she is working as much as she can. Jen does not care what she has to do because she wants to fight this battle and win.
Currently, Jen is counting down the days until September 15th when she will finally be done chemo. She has learned that her tumor is responding to treatment and is shrinking. She is working as much as her side effects allow her to. She is also considering reconstruction surgery at some point and is continuing to fight as hard as she can.
Jen is trying to keep up with her regular bills along with paying for medications and other expenses in dealing with cancer. Even though she has medical insurance, it doesn’t cover everything. She has medical bills that are coming in that she can’t pay and will have more medical bills yet to come. ALL of the money from this account will go to help her with paying for medical bills, medications and other expenses that cancer has thrown at her.
We thank all of our family, friends, and people we know and don’t for all the love and support that they have shown us during this time. Please keep my daughter, Jennifer, in your prayers as she battles her way through cancer. We fully intend to provide updates on her pink journey and do our best to raise awareness of breast cancer in general.
