Jelena's Award Trip to London

Hello friends, family, former/present colleagues, and fellow advertising homies and professionals.
For a while now I’ve been studying Art Direction/Advertising at The Creative Circus in Atlanta, GA. Recently, I had the pleasure of finding out that I’ve been awarded 2 pencils by the D&AD (Design & Art Direction) Awards for competitions that I entered with my partners and fellow students.
For my non-advertising friends (or anyone who might not be super familiar with what these awards mean), a “pencil" might sound like a pretty lame award. To put this win in perspective, the D&AD competition is international and these briefs are worked on by students from all over the world which means lots and lots of submissions are entered. In other words, this is an incredible honor and I'm so thankful to be recognized along with my partners.
While winning a D&AD pencil is hard, finding the funds to fly to London and accept the awards in person on a student budget (essentially non-existent), is even harder. Making a Go Fund Me feels weird because it's awkward to ask for money in general, but I figure even a dollar or some change here and there can easily add up! I’m planning on selling some unwanted belongings in the hopes of raising other funds but I'm hoping that this Go Fund Me can pull most of the weight.
Your donations would be used solely for (1) A flight to London (2) A hotel/airbnb in London (3) any small costs incurred while on this trip (mainly food because eating is important).
