Jeff's Life Saving Liver Transplant

Hi my name is Mike Skaggs. In Feb. 2017 my brother was diagnosed with End Stage Liver Disease. According to his MELD SCORE. (Model for End Stage Liver Disease) he had roughly a 30% chance of living 3 months. Hospitalized again May 15th - 23rd at University of Calif San Francisco or UCSF as it is better known. Fast forward to 9-5-17, based on latest labs, his Doctors ordered him to UCSF ASAP. On 9-12-17 a miracle happened, he received                                  1 day post Transplant ICU

a Donor Offer and away he went to surgery for a Liver Translpant. Today, Oct. 7 '17 he is doing well. Surgeons told us he would not have been here for Christmas if he had not had this transplant. A real Miracle for sure.
We are setting up this gofundme campaign to hopefully raise enough donations to cover all associated medical costs. Also, he has not been able to work for the past year and will be unable to work for at least 3 more months. His wife Michelle has not been able to work full time due to her being his primary caregiver. Any amount over their basic needs, they plan to offer what they can to his Donors family and to help anyone else going through OrganTransplant surgery.

He and his wife Michelle just bought their first home  in Roseville, Ca. in July 2016 where they share their home with their 2 Boston Terriers.
We are praying this campaign is a success and donations begin as soon as possible.

Asking for help has not been an easy decision. It is not something they are known for. It pains me deeply to see my Brother and his wife struggling to make ends meet.
