Jeff's Recovery After Stroke

Donation protected
I started this campaign to help my brother-in-law and his partner overcome some challenges they have due to recent medical problems. Jeff Hoffa has been self sufficient all his adult life despite chronic anxiety and depression. He is a creative woodworker and excellent cabinet maker. But last September (2016), Jeff suffered a stroke which left him unable to continue his work. His doctor will not clear him to operate the machinery in his cabinet shop, and he cannot drive. Since September he has exhausted his savings. His partner, Teresa, works part time to support them both. She has nerve damage in her spine, and cannot work longer hours because she would lose her health insurance. They live modestly and some improvements made now would reduce their expenses and stress while they work on their plan to add income by leasing out Jeff’s shop.

I would like them to be able to install a small heat pump ($2600) that will reduce their heating costs year after year, and $1100 to repair Teresa’s car and cover some medical expenses. These are hard working people who deserve some help. They are not looking for a free ride, but some assistance to get through a tough time. $3700 would make a huge difference to them right now.
