Jeff Langdon’s Filling Leads To Open Heart Surgery

Who knew a loose filling could wreak so much havoc?  I sure didn’t and I’m betting you didn’t either.  Here’s the story..... Jeff thought he hurt his back in mid-March. His back pain was pretty relentless until the end of May. In the middle of May he lost a filling,  they called the dentist,  got put on antibiotics and waited till the stay at home order was over to get the tooth fixed. He started developing fevers, as well. In the beginning of June his tooth got fixed. Fevers went away, back pain started to subside, things seemed to be getting better. After 1.5 weeks of no fevers or night-sweats the fevers came back. The next day, severe leg pain, after five days of this he let his wife, Erin take him to the hospital.  Turns out the filling must have been loose for a little while and infected his body. This infection attacked his back and his heart. The way it looks right now,  he needs back surgery to remove infected tissue and open heart surgery to replace the valve the infection attacked. None of which can be done until the infection is out of his blood stream.  Jeff is currently admitted to the hospital and it looks like that will be his home for a while. Crazy story right?!  On top of everything that is happening to Jeff they have the burden of astronomical medical bills that are soon to come.  Without health insurance I can’t even imagine how expensive this is going to be.   Here is where we all can pitch in and help a little.  I would like to raise enough money to at least cover their rent for the next couple of months.  I would like all their energy to go into helping each other through this and not worrying about how they will get by on just Erin’s part time income.
