Jeff's Life Saving Vest

Hi! Thanks for visiting and donating to help us raise the ginormous costs associated with Jeff's life saving stay in the hospital and his newest accesory, this Life Vest: (https://lifevest.zoll.com/)

Jeff is at risk for a heart attack with ANY strenuous activity and needs to get this life vest so it can shock him and save his life. He is no longer going to be able to work or live life as he once knew it. He needs to get this vest before discharging so we are hoping to raise as much money as possible and as quickly as possible.

So, here's what happened: 

After a couple days at home fighting what Jeff assumed was strep throat or the flu, he took a turn for the worse Monday morning and landed in the ICU with septic shock and multi system organ failure.  His lab values were scary abnormal, he required IV blood pressure medication to keep his blood pressure up, and he was struggling to breathe on his own.
Good news: he's stable(ish) now after 3 days of antibiotics, fluids, and rest in the ICU.
Bad news: During his stay they discovered he has an enlarged heart, valve reguritation, and heart failure.  His heart is working at 15% of where it should be. 
Jeff also does not have insurance (we are working on Medicaid but at the moment- no coverage)
As you can imagine, at 34 years old, this information came as a pretty big shock.

The Doctors have told him his health has to be his #1 priority. So your donations will help him do that.
