Hi Everyone,
On June 21st of this I was admited to the emergency room with extreme fatigue. I was diagnosed with Anemia, cause unknown. Because I have Atrial Fibrillation, my heart was the suspected cause. Further tests show this not to be the case. My kidney is now the suspected culprit.
On Christmas day 2016 I was admitted to the emergency room with very painful bleeding left kidney. The bleeding was stopped and I was kept in the hospital for a week while my blood level returned to normal. The CT scan also revealed a mass in my kidney, however the doctors could not tell what it was because it was surrounded by blood. After several weeks the blood had disapated enough for a CT scan to reveal an approximately 4cm solid mass with suspicion of cancer.
The Urologist and I determined that it must be removed and decided to consult a specialist proficient in using scopes to remove the mass without removing the entire kidney. However, if the mass removal proves to be problematic, they will then remove the entire kidney resulting in a much longer hospital stay.
All of this has taken a considerable amount of time due to scheduling appointments and insurance changes.
I have been unable to work since the end of June due to the fatigue and no other financial aid is available to me, making it impossible to pay my living expenses, bills, and accrued medical expenses.
I finally have another consult appointment which will result in surgery scheduled in August.
I will owe a substantial copay for this procedure plus unpayed rent and expenses for July, August, and recuperation time. My rent for July is past due and due again on the 1st of August as are several bills/expenses.
