JH TBI Recovery Fund - Jeff Houghtaling

On Thursday evening, August 29th 2019, Jeff was attacked and assaulted. He was rushed to the SICU at HCMC, where he has remained in a coma on life support with a traumatic brain injury. All of the bones in his face were fractured and he is suffering from brain bleeding and swelling. There are a few other complications, but monitoring the brain pressure and trying to prevent further injury is the highest priority now. Jeff is a FIGHTER and is working hard to recover for us! The nurses keep reminding us that "the recovery process is a marathon, not a sprint". We have many long weeks, months, and years ahead of us as we support Jeff in healing. Right now we are taking it hour by hour, with no prediction of when, or if, Jeff will be able to work again. Any support is appreciated, whether it be financial or emotional. We are so grateful for all of the family and friends going out of their way to help us and send us words of encouragement during this difficult time. Jeff is very loved.
