Dad's New Hearing Aids

As most people know, my dad (Jeff Truesdale) is legally deaf. He began losing his hearing while in the Army in the 70s due to the lack of availablity of ear protection while running printing presses. My dad's hearing has deteriorated over the years to the point where he is unable to hear at all without his hearing aids.
Dad has attempted, over the last 3 years, to get assistance from the VA, but they have denied his claim.
At present, his hearing aids are doing a poor job to help him in hearing. Dad has quietly and patiently accepted the loss of hearing. I do not remember hearing him complain once over the years. He only made jokes, as he does about everything. He told my mom recently that his ears don't work anymore. They're just hearing aid holders. ;-)
He has developed the ability to read lips and asks people to repeat themselves.
Dad also has speech to text on his work phone, which is free available from Caption Call
...he is also a HUGE texter.
Dad is now on the hunt for a better hearing aid. And hey, he won't be the only one to benefit from this. You will too! That is, if you interact with him.
Dad will be applying for a Care Credit card to make the inital purchase. Anything you can give would allow my parents to pay off the card within the 18 month interest-free period.
