Jeff & Sue Vance : Flood Damage, Tools & Cars Fund

Hi, my name is Ryan Vance. I am fundraising for my parents, Jeff & Sue Vance, my brothers Brandon & Kyle Vance as well as my Grandmother, Lori Plank. My family resides in Audubon, Pennsylvania along the Perkiomen Creek.

Hurricane Ida has left devastation across the country as it has made its way through the North East. Because of the heavy rain, the Perkiomen Creek where my family lives rose an estimated 20 feet in what some estimate is a record. This resulted in severe flooding in a matter of a few hours. Their home was flooded up to the second story. Luckily, everyone is okay and safe but the damages to the house, the cars, and my Dad's tools have been done. The power of the creek washed away both of my brother's cars & completely overcame my dad's truck (See pictures below). Unfortunately, my parent's stored the majority of their work tools in the garage, the shed & their truck, all of which were completely underwater last night. The water completely flooded the basement & 1st floor reaching as high as 1 foot into the 2nd story.

In the days ahead, my family will be looking for ways to repair the house to make it livable again, replace the tools so that they can get back to work & replace the vehicles for transportation. We are hoping that insurance can cover some of what is needed. The house does not have flood insurance. We estimate the cost of the damages to be near $150,000. Though we know that this fundraiser will likely not get anywhere near this goal, whatever is raised will help get them closer to what the costs will be.

All in all, the health and safety of everyone affected is what we are most thankful for. We know that God will provide no matter what the situation is. We thank everyone who is willing to donate to help get my family back on their feet. Whatever you can give is appreciated!
