Jeff Schmitt's Memorial Costs

Most of you know my dad, Jeff Schmitt. He's been a light in our lives and in so many peoples' lives for decades. Despite endless battles with illness, job loss, and hosts of other trials through the years, he's has always strived to be compassionate and grateful for the life he had. He always took the time to help anyone who needed it and to invest in their lives however he could. As a father to the three of us, Sarah, Jessica and Kaitlin, he was steadfast, kind and just about everything you could ask for as a daughter. As a grandfather to Hezekiah, Thomas, Simon and Emma he was fun, loving and patient (with some practice). As a father-in-law to James, Brian and Dave he was a surrogate father, jokester and friend. As a husband to my mom Linda, his "bride" for 48 1/2 years, he was a friend, supporter and companion through sickness and health, for richer and poorer and everything almost 49 years could bring. Above all, he strove to be a Man of God who showed the love of Jesus in whatever he did, no matter how small. His faith was always demonstrated for others and never simple lip service.

On November 13, 2020 my dad died, after contracting COVID-19 in October. This disease is strong and his body has been through so much for so many years that he was not able to recover. His life insurance expired last year so we are hoping to raise some funds to defray the costs associated with his death and relieve some of the burdens on my mom. Many friends, family and church family have reached out asking how they can help. Rather than trying to coordinate individual donations, we're using this organizational tool. (And of course we are so grateful for all of the meals, well wishes, prayers and every show of support we have already received!) If you'd like to donate anything is welcome. Thank you for your love and support of my dad and our family!
