On Sunday, October 15th, Jeff was on a ladder painting the side of his house. The ladder fell out from underneath him as he was coming down. He fell on a tree, his body came down on a dead branch which went thru his neck, hit and chipped a vertebra, splitting the branch in half where it Lodged into his nasal cavity and the mouth area. He was rushed by helicopter to st. Mary’s in grand junction Colorado then flown by air to Swedish hospital in Denver Colorado. By the time he got to Denver a blood clot had formed, causing a massive stroke which affected the right side of his body and his speech. The doctors told his family that he would probably not make it. They stabilized him and removed the stick the next day then had to go in for more surgery the next day.
Jeff and his wife, Karen, were just trying to get back on their feet after a they lost their business in a devastating fire, which wasn't covered by insurance. Karen is unable to work, as Jeff was airlifted to a hospital 6 hours from their home, and she is unable to leave him at this time. The cost of lodging is already past the 600.00 mark.  They have no health insurance.  Please donate as your heart guides you to do so. Thank-you.
