Jeff Davis Funeral Fund

This is my fiance's description of her dad:

There are so many words I could say to describe my dad and the impact he quietly made on the people around him. Strong, bold, brave, a fighter, independent, are just a few of them, but they all lived inside my dad's heart and in his character. Dad got sick in the spring of 2009 and the battle was long and hard -- much more difficult and taxing than any of us had initially thought. However, amongst the tiring day-in and day-out of his life, he never complained, never wallowed and never gave up. September 4th, 2017 is a day that will forever live in my heart because it's the day that dad went home to glory. He left behind a legacy that my brother and I will continually live out and pass onto our children. Unfortunately, dad wasn't one to prepare for death, because honestly, he always said he was too tough to die. My mom and I want to honor him with a proper burial at the Riverside National Cemetary, although this doesn't cost anything due to dad being a Veteran, the costs of funeral home expenses are weighing down on us pretty heavily. The memorial is on September 22 and we will need to have the $3,400 paid in full by September 20. None of us were expecting him to be gone so soon so we don't have much money to give, but we are trying to do the best we can with what we have. Dad's life was one to be admired and my heart swells with pride every time I think of his heroic actions -- even though he didn't see himself as such. Through it all, God is good, and through it all, it is well.

Karen Davis, Jeff's wife will be in charge of final expenses.
