Jeff Ballards Medical costs

Friday morning Jeff's heart stopped beating. His wife,  Courtney, contacted 911 very quickly, and responders arrived before she could start compressions. The first responders were able to get Jeff's heart beating prior to transferring him to the hospital. Upon arrival to the hospital they determined he did not have any blockage in his heart. To maintain his blood pressures and promote preservation of his brain health they began hypothermia protocol, cooling his body for 24 hours.  They will begin the warming process soon. After further testing and time, we will see what obstacles lie ahead for Jeff and Courtney. We thank God for the many blessings we have already seen. Jeff was home, his quick acting wife had hit the snooze button, AND, the most surprising  blessing, Jeff and Courtney live in a neighborhood that receives thorough support from the amazing Sioux Falls Police Department. The following morning Jeff was supposed to drive for a tour bus company to Washington DC. He had taken on this extra job to supplement much needed income during summer break. Jeff is an adjunct professor at DSU & USF, and Courtney is currently in school, obtaining a degree in counseling. With Jeff's apparent health condition and unknown recovery period, financial concerns are mounting. Any assistance is appreciated. We look forward to providing updates as they develop. One thing is for sure, his determination and strength are in full  supply.
