Help Jeep get a blood transfusion

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

Julian and I are creating this page to help raise money for our dog Jeep to get a blood transfusion. Today, March 26th, after a long vet visit and many tests/ scans and doctor things, we found out that Jeep is anemic and has a large mass on his spleen that indicates the strong potential for surgery. The mass could be benign or it could be cancerous and the wack part is that we aren't able to tell unless it is removed. The first phase of his recovery requires a blood transfusion to aid his red blood cell count which is currently below what they consider below. The blood transfusion will help regulate his energy levels and treat his anemia. This monetary goal is what it costs for the transfusion alone. This step is also necessary if we decide to go through with surgery.

This next paragraph is something I posted on Instagram a while ago and I want to share it here for anyone who might come across this fundraiser, not know us, and want to know a little bit more about Jeep and this family.

Around 1 am on April 29 of 2021, a dog was crying outside of the home where I was staying in Oaxaca. My friend Maya and I went outside to see if he was okay and he immediately wanted to give us kisses and sit VERY close to us. Something about his desperation for affection broke my heart. He wasn't just a tough stray dog. He wanted help. Maya and I put a jump rope around his neck and brought him inside to sleep for the night. I was texting Julian (who I was newly dating & who would be arriving to Mexico soon) saying “uhhh I might have a dog when you get here. Is this nuts?” He assured me that it was not. The next day Maya and I took him to the vet for a check up. One thing the vet mentioned was that from his weight, fur strength and markings around the neck, he had an owner recently. We kept him for a few days, trying to decide if keeping him was a good idea. He stayed by my side, even when off leash he followed me around from beach to beach. My fear was that I was walking around with someone else's lost dog. A few days later, after Julian arrived, we ran into a local who recognized him. “THATS JEEP” She told us he had a family but they had moved two weeks prior and left him on the street. After that, we decided to take him home. The next part was bonkers but long story short, we got an emotional support certificate so he could fly with us, and got him on the first flight out of Oaxaca. We missed our flight to New York and when boarding the second flight they told us we couldn’t bring him on the plane (because while we were in Mexico, emotional support animals had been revoked in the US ) After spending three more days in Mexico City and basically begging the airlines to let us on a flight we got ourselves to Texas. Once in Texas we researched every airline available and none would let us on the plane. We would have to wait 48 hours to have Jeep approved for flying under the plane in a kennel. Which led us to an airport hotel, (where the three of us had chicken tenders, Julian for the first time ever and Jeep for his last time ever (poop)) making many phone calls and finally landing on a Uhaul. We drove from Texas to New York and Julian and I fell in love along the way. With each other and with JEEP.

Jeep brings an insane amount of love and joy into our lives and we want to do everything we can to bring this pup back to health. Thank you in advance to everyone who is able to help us.
