Wendy Karr has inspired hundreds of children as a kind and passionate Montessori preschool teacher in San Francisco, CA, Boulder, CO, and Halifax, NS.
In March of 2013, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She began treatments which spanned many months. When the news came that her cancer was in remission, her first wish was to go back to work with the children at Maple Tree Montessori in Halifax, NS, which she did. Her time in remission was far too short, and six months later, her cancer had returned.
She passed peacefully December 28th in the afternoon surrounded by her loving family.
With your help, an annual fund in her honor will be established at Maple Tree Montessori, which would give the gift of education to a young child who would not otherwise be able to afford Montessori education.
