Jeannin and John's Hurricane Relief

Jeannin has been attending Physician Assistant school on the island of St. Croix.  This past week, Hurricane Maria came barrelling into the island.  Jeannin and John live on the West side of the island in Frederiksted.  This part of the island was the hardest hit.  They prepared for the worst and it happened.  Taking shelter in the closet of their house with their two cats and two dogs, the couple used mattresses and pillows to protect themselves and their pets.  The roof ripped away from their house, leaving them exposed to the elements for hours.  Other than a few crates of items worth sentimental value, everything they owned was destroyed.  While they were trapped in their neighborhood waiting for emergency services to remove debris, they lived in their car and eventually in a neighbors empty apartment.  They are currently living at a friend's house and waiting for transport to Florida where she can continue her schooling.   Living off student loans, they need help purchasing the basics and starting over.
