Jeanne Pakes Memorial Groom Award

On July 2, 2016, my groom of 34 years, Jeanne Pakes, lost her life to colon cancer. Jeanne was one of the wittiest, most caring, and dedicated people I have known. She lived for the horses, and had a work ethic like no other. She was my shotgun, my back-bone, my confidante, and the most loyal friend imaginable. Life without her has been a challenge.
At Dressage at Devon 2017, we will be presenting the Jeanne Pakes Memorial Groom Award to the groom of the Grand Prix Freestyle winner. This is a Perpetual Trophy, and there will be a $500.00 cash award, and several other amentities.
I have started this fund with the goal of $10,000.00, to provide longevity to the award, just as she gave me in life. Should we exceed that amount, we will close the account, and any extra monies will be donated to the Mid-Atlantic Horse Rescue in Jeanne's name.
Thank you in advance for any and all donations. Those of us who have been privileged enough to shine in the spotlight know the reality of how we got there. I will forever be dedicated to Jeanne Pakes.
