Jeanne Lusk—Emergency Surgery & Hospitalization—Asking for prayers & financial donations. Many of you know Ms. Jeanne as she was a Sumner County school nurse in Hendersonville, Portland, and Gallatin for many years.
On June 20, 2019 our dear friend Jeanne Lusk arrived in Denver, CO to pay a surprise visit to her daughter, Erin. While walking to the rental car area, Jeanne experienced a medical episode that caused her to faint. Jeanne struck her head on the concrete ground and suffered a severe head injury. The EMT crew arrived quickly and transported her to the University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) where she underwent a lengthy emergency surgery to repair a ruptured artery and remove a large blood clot.
Jeanne remains in the UCH Neuro ICU recovering from her injuries and other setbacks she is still experiencing. She will not be cleared to be transferred back to Nashville at least for the next few weeks.
Anyone who knows Jeanne knows she is a tough woman and ferocious fighter, but she will likely have weeks, if not months of recovery and therapy ahead of her. The Lusks are a very caring, loving family who have suffered way more medical challenges than any family should ever have to endure. In an effort to help this family navigate the difficulties of dealing with such a tragedy away from their home in Hendersonville, TN, contributions to assist with travel, housing, meals etc. would be so greatly appreciated. Any amount multiplied by a lot of people contributing could help this very deserving family in their time of need. God is watching over our Jeanne and the Lusk family, they just need a little help from their friends.
