Jeanette's Fight With Cancer

I am helping raise money for my sister in law, Jeanette. She is a full time wife, mother of three and also works full time as a case worker for the county in which she lives. She is the type of person who opens her arms to help those in need. Jeanette routinely completes self breast exams. On January 24th she had a mammogram, sonogram and biopsy. On January 29th, we all got the news that she has triple negative metaplastic breast cancer. Triple negative breast cancer is a very aggressive breast cancer. Doctors are still unsure of what triggers this specific type of breast cancer. Jeanette had to make one of the hardest decisions she never thought she’d have to make. Three days before she had a double mastectomy she had a PET scan that revealed three additional spots. One on the lung, one on the thyroid and the lymph nodes next to the thyroid. Once she recovered from her mastectomy surgery she was then scheduled to have a sonogram which lead to a biopsy on her thyroid. On March 5th, she was also diagnosed with thyroid cancer. (Yes, you’ve read correctly, she has two different types of cancer) We’re now waiting for a surgery date to get the thyroid and the lymph nodes around the thyroid removed. We’re hoping that this will come within the next week so that she can heal and start her chemo for the breast cancer. She’ll be completing 5 months of chemo for her breast cancer and possibly move onto radiation. We’re asking for donations to help raise money for medical bill thats she’s incurring. Currently Jeanette has been out of work for going on 6 weeks and won’t be able to go back until after she has a few rounds of chemo. Anything that you’d be able to contribute would be greatly appreciated. All of these donations will be going directly to pay the medical bills.
