My cousin Jean Guinel values education and has done well in school thus far. Despite the loss of his older brother in a car accident in November 2015, who used to pay his school tuitions, he continues to strive. Like me he is getting an accounting degree.
It is rare in Haiti that someone finishes high school. It is even more rare that a student who finishes high school will go on to attend college. Only 1% of high school graduates attend college.
Jean Guinel Vilma is one of the rare students who finished high school and went on to college. He is 23 years old and a senior at Université INUKA studying accounting. He is in the process of completing his degree working with teachers from Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). One thing remains in his way $1,600; which is the remaining associated cost. Reluctantly, he agreed to let me start this gofundme campaign to raise the money. Therefore, I am asking friends, relatives, and all of you out there to help make his dream come true and complete his accounting degree. I know many of you want to help him. Please give whatever amount you can to raise $1,600 to help Jean Guinel Vilma finish college.
