<div>My name is María Esperanza, I am 45 years old, and I live in Switzerland with my husband and our two daughters. We arrived here almost six years ago, seeking refuge from the violence and uncertainty in our country, Colombia.

<div>A few days ago, my mother passed away after a long battle with colon cancer. I was unable to say goodbye to her, and that emptiness will always be with me. But today, beyond my grief, there is something that deeply worries me: my father is completely alone.
</div>

</div>
<div>He is 75 years old, and since my mother’s passing, his emotional and physical health has been deteriorating. My greatest fear is losing him as well, due to sadness and loneliness.
</div>

</div>
<div>This is why my greatest wish now is to bring him to Switzerland for a while, so he can be accompanied, embraced by the love of his granddaughters, and not feel like a burden.
</div>

</div>
<div>Our family is still in the asylum process, and we do not have the financial means to cover his trip. Any help, no matter how small, will be a light in this very difficult time.

<div>Me llamo María Esperanza, tengo 45 años y vivo en Suiza con mi esposo y mis dos hijas. Llegamos aquí hace casi seis años, buscando un refugio contra la violencia y la incertidumbre de nuestro país, Colombia.

<div>Hace pocos días, mi mamá falleció tras una larga lucha contra el cáncer de colon. No pude despedirme de ella, y ese vacío me acompañará siempre. Pero hoy, más allá de mi dolor, hay algo que me preocupa profundamente: mi padre ha quedado completamente solo.

<div>Tiene 75 años, y desde que mi madre partió, su salud emocional y física se ha deteriorado. Mi mayor miedo es perderlo también por la tristeza y la soledad.

<div>Por eso, mi deseo más grande ahora es traerlo a Suiza por un tiempo, para que esté acompañado, arropado por el amor de sus nietas y no sienta que es una carga.

<div>Nuestra familia sigue en proceso de asilo, por lo que no tenemos los recursos económicos para cubrir su viaje. Cualquier ayuda, por pequeña que sea, será una luz en medio de este momento tan difícil.

<div>Il y a quelques jours, ma maman est décédée après une longue lutte contre un cancer du côlon. Je n’ai pas pu lui dire au revoir, et ce vide m’accompagnera toujours. Mais aujourd’hui, au-delà de ma douleur, quelque chose m’inquiète profondément : mon père est complètement seul.

<div>Il a 75 ans, et depuis le départ de ma mère, sa santé émotionnelle et physique se détériore. Ma plus grande peur est de le perdre également, à cause de la tristesse et de la solitude.

<div>C’est pourquoi mon plus grand souhait est de le faire venir en Suisse pour un temps, afin qu’il soit accompagné, entouré de l’amour de ses petites-filles, et qu’il ne se sente pas un fardeau.

<div>Notre famille est toujours en processus d’asile, et nous n’avons pas les moyens financiers de couvrir son voyage. Toute aide, même la plus petite, sera une lumière dans ce moment si difficile.
