I have lost so many special people in my life because of cancer. They put up an unbelievable fight for a long time and still ended up losing to this horrible disease.
I have a close friend and colleague who found a lump in his neck and was told it wasn't anything to be concerned about until one day it was. His life was turned upside down. He had a tonsil and part of his tongue removed that was full of cancer, a feeding tube put in because he can no longer swallow or talk, has had multiple chemo treatments and has to have radiation every single day. This man has kept his head up so high, and is fighting so hard and he is going to be able to call himself a SURVIVOR!
I am setting a goal to raise $1500 to help him in any way possible while he is getting back on his feet. Whether that be for medical bills, gifts for the holiday season, getting caught up on other bills, etc. Anything that anyone can give would mean so much.
