As everyone is aware, we lost dad to cancer in April 2020 and during the most difficult time, the support provided by Age UK Northamptonshire was nothing short of amazing.
Last year we completed a huge challenge in dads memory and to raise funds for this fantastic charity by cycling from Portrush, Northern Ireland to Kettering RFC, Northants.
We raised a huge amount and I am forever grateful to those who supported us but what quickly became apparent to me was that the charity continually relies on fundraising and donations to operate.
Last year was a huge challenge and in all honesty something that we will never replicate, however, if I can do my bit, play my part to raise a small amount each year to allow the charity to continue to support and help other families, I know the memories of dad will live on in supporting others.
This year, on the first weekend in July, we are attempting to cycle from coast to coast (west to east) starting in Morecambe and finishing in Bridlington over 2 days. We will be aiming to conquer the Forest of Bowland and Yorkshire Dales as we head east covering circa 180 miles and in excess 14,000ft of climbing in the process, a very challenging 2 days for anyone.
Any support would be very much appreciated for this amazing charity and in continued memory of a great man!
