My name is Aysia Tiger and I am an African American high school graduate, class of 2022. I was born and raised in San Francisco, California. In high school I played four sports, maintained a 3.5 or above GPA, participated in several clubs, seven internships and was class president all four years. I am from a single parent household where I am the first of my siblings to go off to college. I have created my voice through the practice of art. I realized that I tell my story through creative speech and unintentionally, but meaningful art. I have always loved to draw what is on my mind, exploring different topics and ideas. I was so excited when I learned that I was accepted into Maine College Of Art and Design. I could finally pursue my dreams while also obtaining a college degree. I have a chance to go off and make something of my life, however there is a financial burden that will be placed on my mother if I attend school in Maine this fall. This Go fund me would help me to pay the remaining portion of my tuition, housing, travel tickets and other college expenses. I am very appreciative for any amount of help that would contribute to me furthering my education. Thank you in advance!
