Drum Corps has been a passion of mine since I was 15. For the past 4 years I have marched with Atlanta CV Drum and Bugle Corps. This coming season will be my gold star year (5 years with the corps).
Atlanta CV is the South’s most successful drum corps; we travel to compete against drum corps across the nation and place highly.
The value of the education and experience you gain from marching drum corps is intangible. I have learned self respect, punctuality, self control and most importantly, discipline. These values resonate through my lifestyle: in how I choose to be detail-oriented at work and school, to how I perceive the world and myself.
Unfortunately, as a pre-med college student, money is often an issue when trying to divide between college, hobbies, and personal expenses.
With that, I’m reaching out to my friends and family for your support. I am not one to ask for help but even $5 can go a long way in supporting me march my gold star year.
