My kids and I lost our home and all of our belongings last year in Hurricane Helene and I’ve been avoiding asking for financial help since; “other people need it more”, I kept telling myself. We had family we could stay with and a roof over our heads, so I didn’t want to potentially take from people who needed it more. However, after a year of doing that and saying that and making it work, I am admitting that I need help. Any amount would honestly be amazing and appreciated while I am between jobs.
